Are you a recent graduate who wants to join a dynamic, fast-paced organisation and work in a team focused on delivering incredible careers, for everyone?

We\’re looking for an Associate to join us in our Talent Acquisition team at the Early Careers Company, starting in Q1 2025. You\’d join our growing team and have the chance to play a key role in our business!

About The Ladder Group

At The Ladder Group, we believe in creating incredible careers for everyone. That’s our purpose that drives our work across our organisations – two companies and a charity that focus on early careers and social mobility. We’re an energetic, young and growing team with ambitious growth plans. Our people thrive on collaboration, working hard and having fun whilst doing it!

The Early Careers Company

ECC is the largest of The Ladder Group\’s organisations.

  • Talent Acquisition, through our On Demand and Equitable RPO services.
  • Early Careers Strategies, where we help clients design, build and implement world-class early careers infrastructure – ranging from campus strategies to diversity-focused internships.

From San Francisco to Seoul, we\’re delivering excellence in early careers.

The Associate Role

The Associate role is a key member of the ECC team – and the first step on the ladder that takes members of the team from a junior-level hire, right up to Director.

We’re firm believers in ‘practise what you preach’, so almost all of our internal hiring is focused on high-capability juniors, who learn our market, methodology and countless key skills, and are able to grow and develop with our organisation.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for intelligent, curious, inherently kind, motivated, thoughtful and driven people to join our team. If that’s you, and you want to join a business with ambitious growth plans, gaining exposure to every element of how a start-up works, working with fantastic people and clients, and contributing to delivering meaningful change for thousands of young people from low-income families in the UK, then you could be the right person for us.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with our key clients (which exist across a range of sectors, from Consumer Goods to Venture Capital and Nonprofits to Commodities) to deliver on mandates and hiring campaigns, across the UK, EU, US and Asia.
  • Building and developing relationships with our key stakeholders – one of the unique selling points of our organisation is sophisticated, intelligent and careful account management – we operate as true partners to our clients.
  • Advising and consulting our clients on their early talent strategies – including designing/improving interview processes and reviewing/developing hiring plans.
  • Develop compelling narratives around our clients’ histories, growth, business models, structures, processes and roles to deliver to potential joiners, ensuring a smooth, consistent and high-quality candidate experience.
  • Identifying, approaching and building relationships with candidates – typically young people, with limited or no work experience. We see ourselves as guides and educators – identifying what people would be good at and where they would fit, and explaining these sectors/industries/functions to them. People have a right to a clear understanding of their career opportunities – we provide that.
  • Managing hiring processes to create a fantastic experience for the businesses we work with, and our candidates.

  • Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent experience
