Job Description

Are you a Spanish-speaking, ambitious, self-motivated and detail-orientated individual looking to contribute to meaningful change for thousands of young people? If so, we want you to join The Early Careers Company as an Associate.

About The Ladder Group

At The Ladder Group, we believe in creating incredible careers for everyone. That’s our purpose that drives our work across our organisations – two companies and a charity that focus on early careers and social mobility. We’re an energetic, young and growing team with ambitious growth plans. Our people thrive on collaboration, working hard and having fun whilst doing it!

The Early Careers Company

ECC is the largest of The Ladder Group's organisations.

  1. Talent Acquisition, through our On Demand and Equitable RPO services.
  2. Early Careers Consulting, where we help clients design, build and implement world-class early careers infrastructure – ranging from campus strategies to diversity-focused internships.

From San Francisco to Seoul, we're delivering excellence in early careers.

The Associate Role

The Associate role is a key member of the ECC team – and the first step on the ladder that takes members of the team from a junior-level hire, right up to Director.

We’re firm believers in ‘practise what you preach’, so almost all of our internal hiring is focused on high-capability juniors, who learn our market, methodology and countless key skills, and are able to grow and develop with our organisation.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for intelligent, curious, inherently kind, motivated, thoughtful and driven people to join our team. If that’s you, and you want to join a business with ambitious growth plans, gaining exposure to every element of how a start-up works, working with fantastic people and clients, and contributing to delivering meaningful change for thousands of young people from low-income families in the UK, then you could be the right person for us.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, approaching and building relationships with candidates – typically young people, with limited or no work experience. We see ourselves as guides and educators – identifying what people would be good at and where they would fit, and explaining these sectors/industries/functions to them.
  • Supporting candidates through client interview processes, preparing them for interviews and supporting them to be successful
  • Managing hiring processes to create a fantastic experience for the businesses we work with, and our candidates.
  • Executing the delivery of early careers consulting projects including quantitative and qualitative research, data collection, analysis and interpretation
  • Conducting market analysis for our clients’ industries across multiple geographies
  • Synthesising information into visual and engaging project materials, resources and deliverables (including decks, presentations and reports)
  • Contributing to the project management process of multiple concurrent projects whilst working to tight deadlines

Role Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English and Spanish with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Strong organisational & project management abilities with an eye for detail
  • The confidence to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a quickly changing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation and benefits

  • £30k salary with the opportunity to earn additional bonuses
  • 25 Days holiday + bank holidays, and we’re closed over Christmas
  • Work from home Wednesdays
  • Free dinners in the office on Deliveroo if you’re working late
  • A company Uber account for taxis home if you stay late
  • Health insurance through Vitality which includes free GP appointments, discounted gym memberships and perks like free coffees and cinema tickets
  • Team and company socials every quarter
  • Mac Laptop when you join
