We provide essential services to those facing challenges such as homelessness and family breakdowns, helping them rebuild stable, positive futures. Your Role & Responsibilities:
Carry out minor repairs and maintenance on Roberts Centre buildings, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Prioritise health and safety matters and complete risk assessments where necessary.
Work with the Resettlement Manager to schedule and complete maintenance tasks across sites.
Coordinate with external contractors, supervising their work to ensure it meets Roberts Centre standards.
Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment required for maintenance work.
Be responsible for the upkeep of the Roberts Centre vehicle, ensuring it remains roadworthy and well-maintained.
Manage the collection, delivery, recording, and storage of donations at the Roberts Centre storage site, keeping inventories accurate.
Assist with the relocation and removal of furniture and items from office locations or other Centre settings.
Provide regular updates to ensure operational reporting aligns with internal expectations.
Take on other reasonable duties as required by the Resettlement Manager within the scope of the role.
Who We’re Looking For:
A qualification in building/maintenance (Desirable).
A solid understanding of building-related trades (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, decorating, gardening).
Experience in building or maintenance trade with a proactive approach.
Ability to work independently and use initiative in solving problems.
IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a great communicator.
Comfortable managing challenging situations with professionalism.
Full clean driving license and ability to drive a Roberts Centre vehicle.
Available to occasionally work evenings and weekends with notice.
Experience in supervising contractors (Desirable).
