About the Role
Dwelling Doctors is seeking an experienced operational leader to take ownership of the Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council contract and support the delivery of a growing regional portfolio. This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving operational performance, managing client relationships and leading teams across planning, administration and field operations. The successful candidate will be highly organised, commercially aware and capable of using data and operational insight to drive decision-making, improve performance and deliver exceptional outcomes.
We are looking for someone who can see beyond the numbers. Someone who can analyse data, identify trends, understand the root causes of operational challenges and take decisive action to improve efficiency, workflow and service delivery. Equally important is the ability to lead people effectively, creating a culture that balances accountability, engagement and high morale.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Taking full operational ownership of the Rotherham contract and wider regional operations.
- Leading planning, administration and field-based teams to deliver high levels of service and performance.
- Using data, reporting and operational insight to identify trends, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
- Managing workflow, scheduling, resource allocation and backlog reduction to ensure efficient contract delivery.
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as the senior operational point of contact.
- Providing meaningful operational reporting, forecasting and performance analysis to the Senior Management Team.
About You
You will have experience in an Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Contract Manager or similar leadership role and be comfortable managing multiple functions within a fast-paced operational environment. You will be a strong communicator who can motivate people, challenge poor performance when required and create a positive culture where teams feel supported, engaged and accountable. You will be naturally analytical, confident working with operational data and able to translate information into practical actions that improve business performance. Experience within social housing, property services, repairs and maintenance, facilities management or construction would be advantageous, as would experience working with local authority contracts, client portals and NEC systems.
What Success Looks Like
- Strong operational control and visibility across all workflows.
- High-performing teams with good morale and clear accountability.
- Data-driven improvements that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Strong client relationships and consistent contractual compliance.
Why Join Dwelling Doctors?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant regional operation within a growing and ambitious business. You will have genuine autonomy, influence and responsibility, working closely with senior leadership to shape operational performance and support future growth. If you are a driven operational leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems and using data to deliver results, we would like to hear from you.
