About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the ventilation and indoor air quality sector. As a Ventilation Engineer Improver, you will work alongside experienced Ventilation Engineers, assisting with the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of ventilation systems across residential and social housing properties. You will receive ongoing training and development to gain specialist knowledge in ventilation, condensation control, and mould prevention to become a fully trained Ventilation Engineer. This role is ideal for candidates who have electrician mates experience and completed a Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation or hold an equivalent Level 2 Electrical Qualification and are looking to develop practical site-based experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the installation of domestic and whole-house ventilation systems
  • Supporting engineers with servicing, maintenance, and commissioning works
  • Learning to diagnose ventilation, airflow, and humidity-related issues
  • Assisting with electrical connections and testing of ventilation equipment
  • Using tools and equipment safely, including core drilling equipment
  • Ensuring all work is completed to company standards and current regulations
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in occupied properties
  • Communicating professionally with residents and colleagues
  • Completing job documentation accurately and on time
  • Participating in training and development programmes to progress within the business

Requirements

Essential

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • Minimum Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation or Level 2 Electrical Qualification
  • Good practical skills and willingness to learn
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom

Desirable

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience installing domestic extract fans
  • Experience using core drilling equipment
  • Experience working within social housing or occupied residential properties
  • ECS Card or equivalent
