What you\’ll bring to the team
York Dungeon are currently on the lookout for aCleaning Assistant. The cleaning and displays team are a vital ingredient in the guest experience. Therefore, we’re looking for someone who strives for the best and isn\’t afraid to get stuck in!
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the attraction is litter free, clean, hygienic, and presentable for guests. In addition to all attraction spaces, you’ll clean staff areas and the visitor and staff toilets daily, as well as assisting with costume laundry. As you’ll be out and about in the attraction, you’ll also have contact with our guests so you’ll be answering questions and doing all you can to help our visitors have an amazing experience. Finally, on some days you will also open the building and turn on our Dungeon shows in readiness for our next victims arriving, along with some periodic facilities checks.
This is a permanent role, with shifts predominantly at weekends and the potential for additional shifts during the week. The hours will usually be 2 x 4-hour shifts from 06:30 to 10:30.

Qualifications & Experience
- Someone that works to a high standard and has great attention to detail
- Comfortable handling cleaning products (training is given though)
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Cleaning and laundry experience is also preferable, but not essential
