About the role
This is an exciting time to join Dune, as the business is reinvigorating the brand by drawing on our core values and USPs and modernising them through photography and video. The photography strategy for the business is being pivoted to reflect this, alongside a focus on efficiency cross-departmentally. The role requirements mirror this change and the opportunity to build something exciting.
About you
A natural problem solver, you will step into the role raring to go to make improvements to processes and outputs. This role requires a dynamic, passionate individual, and a true team player, who can influence across the business through experience and excellent communication skills, as well as across your own curated network of external relationships. This is an exciting role in a fast paced environment about to undergo a change to the way photography is devised and delivered and requires a glass-half-full individual ready to join our journey.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Critical Path & Scheduling
- Own and manage all photography and event critical paths end-to-end
- Develop and maintain efficient schedules and RACIs across departments
- Identify risks/opportunities and drive solutions with stakeholders
- Champion deadlines and ensure cross-team alignment to deliver on time
- Partner closely with Product and other teams (e.g. VM) to align priorities and delivery
- Lead planning and execution of marketing event schedules and activations
- Provide regular, actionable updates to stakeholders and SLT
- Manage critical path meetings, agendas and follow-ups
- Oversee photography and retouch workflows, ensuring delivery to brand standards
- Manage external agencies and freelancers to deliver high-quality assets on time
- Content Strategy & Production
- Own delivery of the creative production calendar
- Translate marketing and creative strategy into clear production plans and briefs
- Contribute to content planning and ideation with strong creative input
- Ensure all outputs, usage and risks are considered upfront
- Act as key liaison for production timelines across teams
- Support brand consistency across all visual assets (Brand 360)
- Source and recommend talent, crew and creative partnerships
- Deliver production elements for campaigns and events to a high creative standard
- Capture and share monthly learnings to continuously improve processes
- Budget & Team Management
- Own and manage photography and production budgets
- Track budgets with Finance and identify efficiency opportunities
- Negotiate with talent, agencies and suppliers to optimise spend
- Balance cost efficiencies with creative quality and vision
- Review and optimise resource allocation (internal and external)
- Continuously improve production processes and workflows
- Set, monitor and manage KPIs for photography and retouch teams
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
Proven experience of delivering a strategic change to photography direction, in successful track record of producing events and marketing activations, budget setting and management, experience working with brand partners including Zalando, Norstrom, Next etc. Evidence of relationship with industry contacts across photography, retouch and events, the full life cycle of production.
