About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Junior Merchandiser to join our core Ladies team for a 1 year fixed term position.
About you
- Analyse and reacting to current trading patterns:
- Management of WSSI and OTB
- Actively trades the department to maximise profit on good selling lines and minimise risk on under performing lines, through delivery methods, repeats, pricing and cancellations
- Review sales and intake forecasts at line level, identifying and reacting to potential problems or opportunities
- Reviewing KPI’s to ensure BTA is realistic, highlighting changes to Directors and Buying counterparts.
- Be able to confidently update B&M Directors on sales and profit drivers and agreeing forward trading decisions
- Ensures regular communication with Retail Ops, Supply Chain and Branch Merch teams to monitor stock and identify opportunities.
Planning and Implement Strategies:
- Work with Buyers to plan and develop strategy and KPI’s for the season
- Identify lessons learnt and missed opportunities from previous season to support future plans
- Set realistic store plans and derive ideal category and options mixes through the use of planning tools such as BEV, forecast monitors, range plans etc.
- Implement sourcing/resourcing strategies to derive a realistic IM plan.
- Understanding lead times to ensure the right level of options and stock are placed at the right time.
- Ensure the balanced range delivers and represents key lines, trends and commerciality to Dune
- Be able to confidently deliver Strategy to Board with supporting analysis
Experience Required
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel
- Analysis skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent time management and awareness of others
- High level of commercial awareness of current trends, competition etc.
- Enthusiastic and contributes to a positive working environment, motivating the B&M team
- Passionate about the brand and customer.
