About the role

You’ll be joining our brilliant Merchandising team where thorough detailed analysis, accurate forecasting and allocation management will help ensure that we have the best range possible across our wide store and website portfolio. Analysis is at the forefront of what we do whether it’s reporting on weekly trade or ensuring we have detailed information for Planning meetings, this will be a big focus of your role.

By reviewing sales and stocks on a regular basis using both the WSSI and Line Projections and recommending actions to the team, you will ensure that we have the correct intake in the business to best potentialise sales. You will also work very closely with the Allocation team, managing their weekly to-do lists, ensuring trade actions are implemented and making sure distribution plans are being carried out. Managing sales, promotions and price changes will also be a key function of your role, and you will monitor the effect this has on intake margin and gross margin which in turn will drive profit.

  • Excel whizz! For this role you will need to be confident using Excel
  • Is commercial and understands the customer and brand
  • Experience of allocation and an understanding of stock management
  • Experience of line cards; forecasting; and updating a WSSI
  • Takes accountability and is confident in deputising in Merchandisers absence
  • Ability to identify opportunities or risks to profit and take the required action
  • Keep up to date with market trends and the effects this has on business
  • Passion for the product and a good understanding of trends
  • Ability to be a vocal member of the team with an opinion in meetings
