Overview

We are recruiting Health Records Clerk for 4.73 WTE, 37.5 hours per week, fixed term 12 months. The post is part-time up to full-time within the Health Records Service Department. The department is open 7 days a week from 06:00 to 18:30; hours are flexible with rotational cover for late shifts, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient case notes for appointments within the Trust, including emergency and elective appointments.
  • Be trained in the Medical Records main warehouse library, including picking and filing patient case notes.
  • Upon completion of warehouse training (approx. 6 months), undertake reception desk duties within the Trust as the first point of contact for patients attending their appointments, ensuring all demographic details are correct on the PAS system.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English Language Grade C (or equivalent).
  • Previous clerical/admin experience welcome.
  • Experience with Microsoft IT systems; good organisational skills; ability to work in a demanding/heavy lifting warehouse environment (essential).
  • Role involves working across four sites within Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust: Library Warehouse, Russells Hall Hospital, Corbett Hospital and Guest Hospital.
  • Driving licence holders (21+ years) will be added to the driving rota for delivery of urgent and elective casenotes; a vehicle is supplied for this purpose.

Additional Information

The post is hosted by the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust with potential flexible cross-site working across four partner Trusts (Black Country Provider Collaborative). This role may involve travel between sites and occasional weekend work as part of the shift pattern.
