Overview

Provide high standards of cleanliness within Neonatal Unit. Be responsible for the safe storage of equipment and consumables. To be responsible for environmental cleaning as per cleaning schedules and comply with audit requirements. To maintain the safety and security of patients, staff and visitors. Ensure bed spaces are cleaned on patient discharge and ready to accept timely admissions. Ensure bed spaces are re-stocked with equipment as per bed space set up guide. Maintain and monitor the use of resources and ensure service level is continuous. To assist in reducing the incidence of healthcare associated infections and adhere to the infection control procedures as per Trust Policy. Assist in the achievement and maintenance of high standards of patient care. Work closely with members of the team, recognizing and working within their own capabilities, but always acting in the best interest of the patient and their families. Provide support and assistance to the multidisciplinary team when carrying out procedures.
