Urban Pubs, Bars and Restaurants are currently recruiting for a talented and highly skilled Assistant General Manager with personality & charisma for our expanding group. We're looking for a service-focused, lead-from-the-front Assistant or Deputy General Manager with a passion for great food and guest experience.

The Duchess of Kensington is an elegant pub located in the heart of Kensington, a stone's throw from the Royal Albert Hall. Offering a menu of elevated pub classics, strong passing trade and the draw of a nearby landmarks, expect a fast-paced all-day trade with a high food mix giving way to wet led evening in Kensington's newest and most stylish pub.

The Role

• As Deputy General Manager you will support the General Manager in all aspects of running the venue as if it were your own business.
• Be business savvy and demonstrate great commercial acumen.
• Your team will look up to you, it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction.
• You will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow.

What we looking for:

• "Wear your heart on your sleave", take ownership, be bold and run the business as if it's your own
• Be cool, calm and collected, manage pressure with ease, nothing can phase you
• Must have minimum 2 years’ experience as a manager depending on the property being looked at
• Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable
• Superb customer & floor service skills
• Strong all-round business knowledge from financials to customer satisfaction
• An entrepreneurial flare
• Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly, loves to have fun
• Personal License holder beneficial
