What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and develop data interfaces to import/export data between internal systems and third-party services.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain T-SQL stored procedures, views, and queries.
  • Collaborate with consultants and client stakeholders to define technical needs and project scope.
  • Write comprehensive interface specifications, including data mapping, transformation logic, file formats, and transfer schedules.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data flows, resolving transformation and delivery issues effectively.
  • Maintain clear documentation for integration logic and operational procedures.
  • Ensure all solutions meet internal standards for security, reliability, and data quality.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL, including stored procedure development and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience developing system integrations involving structured data.
  • Ability to create accurate, detailed technical specifications for data interfaces and file transfers.
  • Knowledge of file-based formats (CSV, XML, JSON) and secure transfer methods (e.g. SFTP).
  • Understanding of relational databases and data transformation techniques.
  • Experience working with personal and financial data in a secure and compliant manner.

Nice to Have

  • Background working with student information systems or platforms used in education or finance.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g. SQL Agent) or task automation (e.g. PowerShell).
  • Basic familiarity with APIs (REST, JSON) - although this is not the primary integration method.
