We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations and deliver outstanding culinary experiences aligned with the standards of a luxury property. This senior leadership role is responsible for all aspects of kitchen management, food quality, cost control, team development, and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with operational excellence and a passion for developing high performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Operations & Leadership
    • Lead, motivate and develop all chefs, cooks and the wider kitchen team, ensuring consistent standards of food quality, presentation and service.
    • Maintain exceptional standards across all kitchen areas.
    • Conduct daily briefings and monthly team meetings to ensure effective communication and engagement.
    • Ensure a positive team culture that promotes pride, professionalism, respect and high employee morale.
    • Take a proactive approach to performance management, working closely with People and Culture where required.
  • Food Quality & Guest Experience
    • Consistently deliver food of exceptional taste, quality and presentation that exceeds guest expectations.
    • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards at all times.
    • Maintain strong awareness of regular guests and encourage repeat business through personalised service.
    • Anticipate guest needs and deliver service in line with the brand’s Proud values.
  • Financial & Commercial Management
    • Maximise kitchen profitability through effective cost controls, waste minimisation and stock management.
    • Oversee ordering, receipt, storage and security of all food items.
    • Track food costs and support the preparation of departmental budgets, forecasts and performance reports.
    • Identify and maximise all revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Planning, Strategy & Coordination
    • Analyse daily and future business levels, including arrivals, events and promotions, ensuring effective forward planning.
    • Liaise closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and the F&B Manager on events, promotions and special requirements.
    • Maintain strong interdepartmental relationships to ensure seamless guest experiences.
    • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to maintain a competitive luxury offering.
  • Health, Safety & Maintenance
    • Ensure all kitchen, back of house and staff dining areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
    • Take responsibility for routine equipment maintenance, reporting wear, damage or issues promptly.
    • Promote a safe working environment for colleagues and guests in full compliance with health and safety regulations.

About You

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Head Chef in a high end or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and retaining high performing teams.
  • Excellent financial, budgeting and cost control expertise.
  • Creative, trend aware and passionate about food excellence.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Flexible, professional and committed to continuous personal and professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
