As the Assistant Night Manager of The Marylebone, you will be responsible for the safety and security of our guests overnight and work closely with our Night Manager to be lead the Front Office team during this time.
As Assistant Night Manager, you will be warm and welcoming, providing the guest with an efficient and courteous welcome and departure, whilst also working behind the scenes to oversee the completion of nightly reports and prepare for the next day arrivals.
The ideal candidate will be working in a similar role within the luxury hotel Front Office department.
Attention to detail, accuracy and a drive to deliver a memorable guest experience will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the smooth running of the hotel during overnight operations, ensuring exceptional guest service at all times.
- Act as Duty Manager throughout the night, taking responsibility for the hotel's operational performance and guest experience.
- Lead the night audit process, ensuring all financial procedures, reports, and reconciliations are completed accurately.
- Monitor revenue opportunities, maximising room occupancy and supporting yield management initiatives.
- Handle guest queries, requests, and complaints efficiently, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Lead and motivate the Front Office team, conducting shift briefings and supporting team development through coaching and training.
- Ensure the Front Desk is fully operational and adequately staffed throughout the night.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, data protection requirements, and financial controls.
- Respond effectively to emergencies, incidents, and unexpected situations, escalating when required.
- Work closely with departments across the hotel to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with guests, anticipating their needs and delivering memorable experiences.
- Oversee the completion of end-of-day procedures and provide a thorough handover to the Day Duty Manager.
