We’re hiring a hands-on, all-round Lead Mobile App Engineer who is a master at Android, but is also comfortable understanding and coding in iOS (Swift), to take ownership of our existing Android app - as well as helping us evolve our iOS app - for the next era of product development, including the age of AI. You’ll focus on delivering stunning Android apps for our clients, while supporting the iOS team to deliver an app that feels faster, smoother, and more delightful. You’ll work closely with our CEO, alongside product and design, with real autonomy and influence.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain the existing Android app end-to-end
- Android (Kotlin) focus includes rolling out white‑label releases, fixing critical bugs, and building new features
- Collaborate closely with design to deliver beautiful UI, polished animations, and thoughtful interactions
- Improve performance, stability, and overall product quality of both Android & iOS
- Make pragmatic architectural decisions and keep the codebase healthy, Android only
- Explore and adopt AI-powered tools and approaches to improve how we build and evolve the app
- Ship regularly, iterate quickly, and sweat the details that users notice
About You
- A strong all‑round developer, Android‑leaning, who cares deeply about craft, UX, and polish
- AI-first mindset, focused on integrating generative AI into product discovery, development, and delivery.
- Android: Solid Kotlin & Jetpack Compose experience
- Track record of building modular & testable code
- Exposure to AI-assisted development
- Demonstrated track record of shipping, owning, and maintaining complex Android applications in production environments
- Experience working with large, multi-modular projects
- Strong UI / animation sensibility
- Flexible working, remote-first with access to central London coworking
- 25 days holiday, plus early-finish Fridays
