What you’ll do
As a Revenue Analyst, you\’ll enjoy your work and take pride in delighting our guests and be responsible to:
- Assist Revenue Team to develop revenue management concepts and practises across the three UK Dorchester Collection properties
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports for each hotel, ensuring data accuracy and consistency of delivery. Flag and escalate any data quality issues
- Review daily the bookings made yesterday to ensure the selling strategy is being maintained and monitor any cancellations that may also impact the selling strategy
- Assist the hotels with any other ad hoc reporting needs for various projects in F&B and Spa.Daily review of all business on the books for the current month and the following 3 months and highlight any peaks and troughs where necessary
- Be the ‘gatekeeper’ on all inventory availability, making sure rooms are not held out of order, blocks have been picked-up or released and anticipating any wash of business by keeping a close eye on business on the books.
- Load/Amend rates in Opera, Nexus and SynXis as required
- Constantly seek to improve and automate our reporting, contribute to updating, designing and creating new or improved dashboards as business needs evolve and new tools are implemented
- To keep up to date on all competitor activity and communicate this information to the revenue team (pricing, offers, etc)
- Ensure the Groups Pricing Tool is updated. Ensure that the Revenue Team updates the selling strategy after every data update.
- Review daily the group’s transaction report to ensure all revenues are entered correctly and highlight or correct any discrepancies
- Accurate analysis and tracking of market segments, geographic, channel, and key account/agent production in order to check effectiveness of pricing strategies and performance to forecast/budget.
- To act as a communicator and knowledge expert for all revenue management issues
- Make sure rate parity at all time in all booking channels ensuring a consistent hotel pricing/yield strategy across all segments.
- Proactively highlight any unusual pattern or change in trends and provide analytical support to Revenue Team to investigate and conduct detailed analysis
- Update IDeaS RMS system with Budget and Forecasts changes

What you’ll bring
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous revenue management experience an asset
- Training and or certifications in Analysis, Revenue Management and Sales an asset
- Highly computer literate, skilled and knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel (Macros, Visual Basic & Pivot Tables
- Ability to work across all levels and functions under own initiative in a highly pressured environment
- A strong command of both written and spoken English is required; additional languages an asset
- Capacity to read situations and respond accordingly
- Able to develop relationships with 3rd parties and the hotel teams
- Good listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs
- Previous knowledge of hotel systems preferably to include GDS, PMS, Revenue Management, Group and Analytical systems and software such as SynXis, Opera, Delphi, IDeaS an asset
- Good analytical and numeric skills; well organised and priority focused
- Sound ability and knowledge to develop robust business processes
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
