What you'll do
- You will be responsible for the protection of the Company’s property from loss or damage as well as providing a safe and secure environment for its guests and colleagues.
- You will be responsible for FLHSS (Fire, Life, Health, Safety, and Security) of the hotel adhering to our set company rules and regulation standards. This includes review on protective and preventative security measures that ensures our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
- Recording all relevant incidents in the Occurrence Book, conducting regular patrols of the building, recording hazards and communicating findings for action in compliance particular to Risk Assessment strategies.
- Ensuring that CCTV / work‑related security and surveillance systems are professionally operated at all times when assigned and to relay all pertinent information to relevant stakeholders or Area Director of Security.
- You will comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Company H & S Manual, as applicable to your place of work.
- Conduct random audits in all departments to ensure the policy on key control, Lost and Found processes and adhered to security Code of Practice.
The operational hours of work are shift‑based and may be subjected to change. These currently set as: Shift rotation on 4 shifts on 4 shifts off, with a mix of days and nights: 07:00-19:00, 19:00-07:00.
What you'll bring
- Previous experience in a security function role - at least 3 years’ experience working in a hotel, corporate or luxury retail sector as a security officer.
- Qualifications - SIA Level 2 Door Supervisor qualification.
- Level 3 award in First Aid at Work (RQF).
- Fire Marshal course.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, proven ability to communicate well under pressure.
- Relevant experience in operating CCTV and access control software; following the hotel policy concerning GDPR compliance regarding monitoring and reviewing CCTV footage.
- Conduct regular H & S and Fire Safety audits across the property; report any findings to the security management team.
