As an Assistant Director of Engineering you’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests. You will be responsible for ensuring the Engineering maintenance is compliant with legislation, protects public safety and hotel equipment. This will include mobilizing and inspiring the Engineering team members and supervisors to build a high performing team to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience. You will also manage operational costs and profitability, drive improvement in guest satisfaction, and monitor and improve Engineering practices, policies, and procedures to ensure a seamless 24/7 operation and Engineering service.
The successful candidate will, in partnership with the Area Director of Engineering, support the whole engineering team through recruitment, mentorship, wellbeing, and personal development, all to ensure the success of our employees.
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality environment
- ONC/HNC or City & Guilds in Engineering or Building Services, mechanical and/or electrical engineering
- Extensive experience in areas such as construction, plumbing, carpentry, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
