About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join The Dorcan Academy as a Teaching Assistant, working across both our Alternative Provision and mainstream school settings.
Responsibilities
- Spend approximately 50% of your time supporting vulnerable students within our Alternative Provision, helping them remain engaged with learning during periods of dysregulation, internal suspension or reintegration following suspension; build positive and supportive relationships; help them access learning through online platforms, knowledge organisers and targeted interventions.
- Spend the remaining 50% of the role as a General Teaching Assistant, supporting teaching and learning across the school; work with individual students and small groups; assist teachers in the classroom; help remove barriers to learning; promote student engagement, progress and well‑being.
