We are looking for proactive and friendly team players to join us for the summer months as Car Park Attendant. Presenting a positive professional image at all times, you will be actively welcoming and engaging with visitors to The Donkey Sanctuary, beginning their visit on a positive note. As the important first touch point for visitors arriving onsite, you will facilitate a well‑managed and safe parking environment, ensuring excellent customer service is a priority.
About you
- Experience of working with the public and providing good customer care.
- Good communication skills and able to clearly explain directions.

Your main duties and responsibilities
- Providing visitors that arrive by car with simple and effective parking directions.
- Ensuring that the two main car parks are excellently managed, using available space nearest to the entrance first and ensuring cars are parked efficiently.
- Being vigilant of traffic flow in and out of the carpark and anticipating potential bottlenecks.
- Working as a team with your co‑attendant and maintaining radio contact at all times.
- Keeping the car parks tidy, including litter picking when required.
- Assisting in the Visitors’ Centre as required.

- These are variable hours, fixed term contracts starting on 1 July 2026 until 30 September 2026, working an average of 30 hours per week, five days over seven. Flexibility will be required for weekend working.
