We have been in business at this location since 2018, and the time is fast approaching when we will need to move to larger premises. In preparation, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team, and grow alongside us. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of dogs, while delivering high-quality grooming services to our clients. Your role will involve working closely with both dogs and their owners, requiring excellent customer service skills.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling of various breeds of dogs.
* Assess the condition of dogs’ coats and skin, identifying any potential health issues that may require veterinary attention.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with dog owners regarding grooming options and aftercare.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised.
* Handle dogs safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
* Lift and manage larger breeds or heavier dogs as necessary during grooming sessions.
* Keep accurate records of each dog\’s grooming history and any special requirements.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in pet grooming is essential (references, please).
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with dog owners.
* Knowledge of animal care practices, including basic veterinary knowledge to identify health concerns.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals.
