The Dog and Gun, Netheravon

If you’re a natural leader who loves hospitality, takes pride in the details and wants to build a genuine career in the industry, we’d love to meet you.

The Dog & Gun is a restored 17th-century coaching inn.

We’ve restored it, stripping things back to the exposed brick and flint.

It's a proper pub.

Casual, characterful, and relaxed in the way that only a place which is four-hundred-year-old can be.

Seasonal food, decent booze, Nole pizza with Wiltshire-sourced toppings and a dedicated team.

We’re looking for a Floor Manager to join Ethan and Agne to play a key role in delivering exceptional hospitality while helping lead and develop the team.

Why this is different

This is a role for someone who wants to lead from the front.

Working alongside Ethan and Agne, you’ll be an important part of the management team — helping to set the standard, support the team and make sure every guest receives the kind of hospitality we’re proud of.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely lives the Chickpea values.

Someone who notices the small things, cares about their team, takes ownership and understands that great hospitality starts with great people.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, take on more responsibility and progress your career within Chickpea.

  • What you’ll do
  • Lead the floor and set the standard for brilliant hospitality
  • Make every guest feel welcome, valued and looked after
  • Support
  • Joe and Alice with the day-to-day running of the pub
  • Coach, support and develop the Front of House team
  • Help create a positive, energetic and supportive team culture
  • Lead by example and demonstrate Chickpea’s values every day
  • Notice the small things and take action before they become big things
  • Take ownership of service and help the team deliver consistently high standards
  • Support with training, inductions and developing future leaders
  • Take responsibility for the pub when required
  • What we’re looking for
  • A natural leader who enjoys bringing the best out of people
  • Someone who genuinely cares about hospitality and the guest experience
  • A confident communicator who can inspire and support a team
  • Someone who leads by example and isn’t afraid to get stuck in
  • A person who takes ownership and follows things through
  • Someone who lives the Chickpea values rather than simply knowing them
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred, but attitude, ambition and leadership potential matter just as much
  • What you’ll get
  • You eat from the menu if you work six hours.
  • Enjoy 50% off food at any of our pubs (Monday-Thursday)
  • £100 voucher on your Birthday to spend at any of our places.
  • Each month there are rewards and giveaways.
  • We celebrate and recognise milestones.
  • 24/7 support available for your mental, physical and financial health.
  • We host the Annual Chickpea Awards Bash, to celebrate our teams.
  • Team trips and away days.
  • Clear promotion pathways.
  • Training programmes built around you.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your hospitality career, want to lead a brilliant team and have the ambition to progress , we’d love to hear from you.
