Nurses in General Practice enhance community health and equity, providing advanced care within multidisciplinary teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join us to contribute clinical excellence and community health improvement. You will work alongside skilled colleagues, supported by dedicated medical centre leadership. This is a casual position working on an as‑needed basis. Schedule: Weekend work and up to 8 pm are required. Flexibility with days and hours.

Qualifications:

  • A current New Zealand practising certificate with prior experience in a medical centre (desirable).
  • Competent in areas of nursing in either or both primary and secondary care.
  • Urgent care and GP experience (desirable).
  • Practice aligns with the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
  • Postgraduate nursing qualifications (or working towards one) and/or specialisation is highly desirable; such as travel or occupational health, prescribing or long-term conditions.
  • Able to work at either clinic and smoothly and efficiently slip into the roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong rapport with team members.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Immunisation and smear taker certificates desirable but not essential.
  • Computer literate.
