The Dixie Grammar School is a selective 3-18 coeducational independent school set in three uniquely beautiful settings in rural Leicestershire. We are a happy school, in which our polite pupils are comfortable in their own skins, grounded, energetic and constantly challenged. This role is based at the Senior School site in Market Bosworth, Leicestershire.
Due to retirement, we have a vacancy for a Head of Physics, as part of the Science Department.
You will be:
- A qualified teacher, perhaps already a Head of Subject or a less experienced teacher looking to progress your career
- Passionate about your subject and able to respond dynamically to a progressive learning environment
- Energetic and enthusiastic in your ability and desire to provide a rich and varied learning experience for pupils
- Able to deliver the curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, with prior experience of A-level delivery
- An effective communicator and team player, able to liaise positively with parents and colleagues
- Experienced in delivering the GCSE & A-Level curriculum
- Capable of adapting practice to the needs of different learners
- Able to plan delivery of the subject across all age groups
- Having an excellent understanding of Safeguarding in Schools (continuous training will also be provided)
The post is full-time and permanent. Salary is dependent upon experience, and includes benefits such as free lunches, ongoing professional development and a generous matched pension contribution.
