Specialist Occupational Therapist (FTC 12 Month) in Leeds - Daniel Yorath House, LS25 1HA

Salary: Β£35,392 to Β£42,618 pro rata DOE

Hours: 21 Hours per week

The Role:

In this role you will work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team using the neurobehavioral model. The focus is to provide person centred rehabilitation that is evidence based. This is a unique community based inpatient setting led by a consultant neuropsychologist with a psychological approach. The service users may have a range of complex and challenging needs including cognitive, behavioural, physical, and emotional difficulties following brain injury. You will have scope to work with service users in a holistic way to address all aspects of recovery and to regain maximal independence including participation in social, leisure and vocational activities. There is access to specialist training, supervision (through the Clinical Lead OT) and development opportunities and you will be encouraged to get involved in service development and research within Brainkind. You will be able to work flexibly, creatively, and autonomously.

About you:

  • A diploma or a degree in occupational therapy and registered with HCPC
  • The ability to work as an autonomous therapist with experience in neurological rehabilitation
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a complex caseload
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to formulate complex risk assessments
  • Experience supervising and training others
  • A valid UK driving licence
