The Role: We seek an Occupational Therapist to join our service at Ty Aberdafen, a 24-bed unit providing rehabilitation for acquired brain injury in Llanelli, Wales. You will work within a multidisciplinary team using a neurobehavioral model, focusing on person-centered, evidence-based rehabilitation. The service users may have complex needs, including cognitive, behavioral, physical, and emotional challenges post-injury. You will work holistically to promote recovery and independence, including social, leisure, and vocational participation. Access to specialist training, supervision, and development opportunities is provided, along with involvement in service development and research. Flexibility, creativity, and autonomy are encouraged in your work.
About you:
- A diploma or degree in occupational therapy, registered with HCPC
- Experience in neurological rehabilitation and ability to work autonomously
- Strong caseload management skills
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Experience in risk assessments and supervising others
- A valid UK driving license
