Bank Chef LOCATION: Eastbourne SALARY: Up to £14.52 per hour HOURS: Flexible Shinewater Court is located in Eastbourne and offers accommodation and support to adults with a range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida and disabilities resulting from accidents or stroke. We are a passionate and committed team, delivering a high standard of care and rehabilitation. Our Support Workers and wider Team thrive on working together to enable our service users to be as independent as possible and achieve their rehabilitation goals. We will train you to provide personalised support to our adult residents. You will follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each person. The focus is developing independent living skills: personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, socialising – the daily routine of regular life. The Role: As a Chef, you are responsible;

  • To ensure a high level of service for all meal times.
  • To ensure report any defects to equipment to the Service Manager.
  • To supervise the catering functions within the Service, to prepare home cooked meals for our residents, to include catering for blended diets, in accordance with instructions from the staff.
  • To adhere to all statutory requirements and good practices as laid by all authorities involved.
  • To observe and operate a standard of cleanliness and hygiene that meets legislation related to the registration of the Service.
  • To communicate with residents to ensure their dietary needs are met.
  • To actively support and promote decisions and initiatives by the Manager.
  • To carry out any reasonable duties requested by senior staff that will aid and assist the smooth running of the Service.
  • To audit compliance of standards within the kitchen, maintaining the standard of health and hygiene as the Chef.
