Assistant Psychologist – Research Horsham – Kerwin Court £25,147 per annum 37.5 hours per week Why join us? Our employees are incredibly passionate about the jobs they do – you’ll find a strong team spirit across our services and amazing colleagues who always pull together and look out for each other.We make a real difference to the lives of our service users, and our Central Recruitment team plays a key role in supporting our operational services.Partly based in Horsham (partly Hybrid working), but with national responsibilities, this role will support the Clinical Director and Research Fellow working on service evaluation and research projects. You will be a fundamental part of the team and will have a direct impact on the services and resources we provide to our service users. In your role, you will be responsible for assisting senior staff in the collation and analysis of clinical outcome data from Brainkind services nationwide and for developing group resource materials for use with adults with acquired brain injury. Your work will support a range of clinical research projects with a view for wider dissemination. You will gain skills and experience of research within a clinical setting which are relevant to those pursuing a career in Clinical Psychology. The Role: As our Assistant Psychologist Research , some of your responsibilities will be:To assist with the research design, literature review, participant recruitment, and assessment, data entry and analysis and preparation of manuscripts for publication in a range of projects.To collate and analyse outcome data from all BIRT services and to utilise this data to produce high quality reports.To assist the Clinical Director in conducting clinical audit of Brainkind services.To assist the Clinical Director in conducting clinical audit and evaluation of Brainkind services.To develop resource materials (including multimedia) for use in the rehabilitation of adults with acquired brain injury.To edit resource materials and present them in accessible form.To collect feedback from individual Brainkind services about resource materials and to make alterations to these resources if necessary.To support and facilitate research and innovation within Brainkind and the sharing of new approaches to rehabilitation.To undertake any other duties as may from time to time be specified by Brainkind, that is within the level and responsibility appropriate to the grade of the post.To undertake, any reasonable travelling requirements, in order to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role. About you

  • Upper second class or first class honours degree in psychology
  • Ideally you will have a Masters in Research Methods or other clinically relevant topic, though this is not essential
  • Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Ability to carry out research under direction and supervision
  • A Full driving licence and the ability to meet the travel requirements of the post.
