Role Overview

Ascension is a thriving Anglican church community in South West London. As our Operations Manager, you will be the operational backbone of the church. While our clergy and ministry leaders focus on the frontline, you will ensure that the infrastructure is robust enough to support our mission, which includes vibrant Sunday mornings, a Refugee Drop‑In, debt advice services and various community groups.

Responsibilities

  • Manage finances to support church activities and ensure sustainability.
  • Oversee building projects and infrastructure development.
  • Navigating complex negotiations to safeguard the church’s resources and operations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine processes and manage resources so that the church continues to thrive.

Qualifications

  • Self‑starter with strong organisational and leadership skills.

  • Experience in operational management, financial stewardship and strategic planning.
