The Diocese of Gloucester is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager acting as the Principal Designer for Carbon Reducing Projects, taking a lead role in the design and implementation of its energy improvement programme. Working as part of our friendly Property team, who manage a variety of properties throughout Gloucestershire from modern buildings to historic listed buildings, you will design and manage the rollout of specific energy efficiency improvements across the organisation's property portfolio of up to 60 properties. This includes solar PV installation and battery, cavity wall insulation, and other effective measures to ensure the organisation remains on target to achieving its net zero targets.
This is a wide encompassing role taking a property from preconstruction phase through to completion including design and specification, tendering, submitting local authority and grant applications, and managing projects on site including occupant and contractor management. The role will need to have knowledge and experience in health and safety, budget management, key legislation, approved codes of practice and best practice standards. The post holder will be expected to have a broad-based surveying or construction background with experience in delivering housing improvement projects as well as proven capability in dealing with multiple and often conflicting daily priorities.
