The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust is seeking to appoint a CIPD Level 5 HR advisor. This is an exciting new role within the central team which offers a diverse range of responsibilities where no two days will be the same. This role is the result of a decision by the Trust Board to bring HR advice in-house and marks a significant development in the Trust’s growth.
The successful applicant will provide high‑quality, pragmatic HR advice and support to school leaders and the central team, in line with the Trust’s distinctive Christian vision and values; acting as a trusted first point of contact on a wide range of employee relations and people matters.
The postholder will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Trust’s Strategic Plan and People Strategy, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, safer recruitment practices, and Trust policies, while promoting a positive and inclusive working culture across all schools.

This is a part‑time post for 30 hours per week (FTE 37.5 hours) all year round. There is opportunity for flexibility in how these hours are worked across the week. The post is offered at a starting salary of £30,660 (pro‑rata) on a permanent basis subject to the successful completion of a probationary period. The pro‑rata salary scale for this role is £30,660‑£33,747.58 (FTE £38,325‑£42,184).
