Role Description
This is a full-time, term time only (37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year), hybrid-remote working role for a Governance Officer. The Governance Officer will be responsible for supporting effective governance within the Trust by:
- Coordinating meetings
- Preparing agendas and reports
- Recording accurate minutes
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Providing advice to governance boards
- Managing governance records
- Supporting panels
- Promoting best practices in governance across the organization
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, including record-keeping and meeting coordination
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports
- Knowledge of governance frameworks, compliance requirements, and relevant policies
- Proficiency in IT tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Experience working in an educational or governance-focused environment is preferred
- A relevant qualification in governance, business administration, or public administration is an advantage
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and promoting the values of the Trust
