Role Description

This is a full-time, term time only (37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year), hybrid-remote working role for a Governance Officer. The Governance Officer will be responsible for supporting effective governance within the Trust by:

  • Coordinating meetings
  • Preparing agendas and reports
  • Recording accurate minutes
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
  • Providing advice to governance boards
  • Managing governance records
  • Supporting panels
  • Promoting best practices in governance across the organization

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including record-keeping and meeting coordination
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, compliance requirements, and relevant policies
  • Proficiency in IT tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Experience working in an educational or governance-focused environment is preferred
  • A relevant qualification in governance, business administration, or public administration is an advantage
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and promoting the values of the Trust
