ROLE OVERVIEW
To further elevate and enhance our operations, we are seeking an accomplished Demi Chef de Partie to contribute and deliver on the club’s success, providing exceptional experiences for our members.
The Demi Chef de Partie supports the Chef de Partie in managing a designated kitchen section and prepares, cooks and presents dishes to the restaurant’s quality standards.
They maintain excellent mise en place, contributing to smooth daily operations, follow all food safety, hygiene and cleanliness practices diligently and continue developing their culinary skills while actively supporting the wider kitchen team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Kitchen & Service
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes to the restaurant’s standards.
- Maintain mise en place and ensure your section is well‑prepared for service.
- Work efficiently during service, following instructions from senior chefs and maintaining consistency.
- Follow recipes, dish specifications and preparation methods accurately.
- Uphold portion control to reduce waste, cooking accuracy and presentation standards.
- Team Support
- Support the Chef de Partie and other senior chefs in daily section operations.
- Work collaboratively with the team, demonstrating a positive, professional attitude.
- Assist in guiding Commis Chefs when required, acting as a role model for junior team members.
- Events kitchen support: assist in preparing bespoke event menus to the highest standard, ensuring your section consistently delivers exceptional quality.
- Stock, Organisation & Standards
- Help monitor stock levels and minimise waste in your section.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation and compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations and other training for your role.
- Ensure correct food storage, labelling and rotation (FIFO).
- Report any quality or equipment issues to senior chefs promptly.
- Events Food Oversight
- Assist in preparing event‑related mise en place and dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Work closely with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to ensure all items are prepared accurately and on time.
- Support smooth service during events by staying organised, responsive and adaptable.
- Ensure dishes produced for events are consistent, well‑presented and meet dietary requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of your section throughout event service.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef background.
- Good understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- A positive, team focused mindset with a desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and personal cleanliness.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards and supporting the kitchen team.
