This is an excellent opportunity to learn on the job and work supporting senior developers on a variety of web projects. The role would suit someone who has a grasp of the fundamentals of web development and is looking to expand their capabilities.

Required Skillset:

  • Experience with modern HTML & CSS.
  • Understanding of the basic principles of PHP & MYSQL.

The Role:

Guided by 2 senior developers you would work to hone your development skillset by hands-on work and training. The right candidate will be willing to get involved with both frontend & backend development on a variety of web projects, from SMEs to large scale Enterprise clients, in addition to supporting existing client websites & development tasks.

  • Development of custom WordPress websites on custom-built themes.
  • Development, set up and customization of WooCommerce and user account login systems and subsequent functionality.
  • Development of client-specific custom functionality where applicable.
  • Working with the ticketing system to proactively support existing WordPress sites.
  • Working with the front-end team to develop sites using WP API in a headless manner with Next/Nuxt.js as appropriate.
  • Working with the dev team to support with a range of development tasks as necessary.

You'll need to be able to be in the Guildford office at least 1 day a week, apart from this the role can be remote as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Layout monthly Magazine, working on articles and Advertisements.
  • Update the Magazine website with latest articles from Magazine and upcoming events.
  • Schedule website articles for Social Media Platforms for the upcoming month.
  • Manage Social Media Platforms and create digital marketing campaigns for them.
  • Respond to inquiries from these.
  • Manage the Magazine Emails and inquiries.
  • Invoice for client Advertisements monthly, adjusting the sales sheet accordingly with any changes (e.g. New Clients or leaving ones).
  • Manage Accounts, marking off payments and expenses when needed.
  • The ability to balance priorities and take responsibility for the completion of a task.
  • To be able to work independently and show initiative.
  • Good Technical and Computer Skills in Social Media, Invoicing and Account management.
