What you’ll be doing
No two days at tda! are quite the same, but you’ll spend your time
- Writing engaging copy for websites, campaigns, articles, emails and digital experiences.
- Creating and managing social media content across a range of platforms and clients.
- Developing content ideas that connect brands with their audiences.
- Planning and maintaining social and content calendars.
- Writing short-form and long-form content, adapting your style to different brands and audiences.
- Helping develop campaign concepts, creative themes and content hooks.
- Working alongside our designers, developers, strategists and wider marketing team to bring ideas to life.
- Supporting community management, responding to comments and helping our clients have genuine conversations online.
- Researching topics, audiences, competitors and trends to uncover interesting content opportunities.
- Interviewing clients, colleagues and subject experts to turn their knowledge into engaging content.
- Helping create briefs for photography, video, animation and other rich media.
- Proofreading and editing content until every word earns its place.
- Reviewing content performance and using the results to make the next piece better.
- Keeping an eye on what is happening across social media, culture, marketing and the wider digital world.
- You’ll probably be someone who
Can write.
Really write.
Not simply move words around a page until they sound vaguely corporate.
You’ll understand tone of voice, know that good copy starts with understanding the audience and be able to move comfortably between serious, informative, persuasive and playful.
You’ll also
- Have 2 years+ experience in content, copywriting, social media, marketing or a related role.
- Have excellent written English, spelling and grammar.
- Be able to turn complicated subjects into clear, engaging content.
- Understand the major social platforms and how people behave differently on each one.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Be confident managing multiple pieces of work and deadlines.
- Be comfortable talking to clients and asking good questions.
- Be curious about brands, people, culture and technology.
- Enjoy collaborating with designers, developers and other creative people.
- Be happy giving an opinion, but equally happy listening to someone else’s.
- Care about doing great work rather than simply getting work out the door.
- Even better if you
We don’t expect you to tick every box, but we’d be particularly interested if you have experience with:
- SEO and writing content with search in mind.
- Content management systems.
- Email marketing.
- Video concepts, scripting or production.
- Experience with meta business suite
- Paid social campaigns.
- Analytics and social reporting.
- Using AI tools intellig"ently" as part of the content process.
And yes, we said intellig"ently" .
We want someone who sees AI as another tool in the creative toolbox, not a button labelled “do my job”.
What success looks like
We don’t want someone simply filling content calendars.
We want you to become someone our clients trust.
Someone who understands their brands, spots opportunities, brings ideas to the table and increasingly takes ownership of the content you create and the accounts you work on.
As your experience grows, so will the role.
We want you developing your own voice, expertise and confidence, taking greater ownership of campaigns and eventually helping shape content strategy rather than simply delivering it.
Working at tda!
tda! is a digital creative agency based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
We help brands succeed in the digital age by designing and building wonderful digital products, experiences, and campaigns, all with a touch of magic.
We bring creativity, technology and effectiveness together to help brands succeed in the digital age.
That means you’ll work alongside designers, developers, strategists and marketers on projects that can move from a brand workshop one week to a website launch, campaign idea, film shoot or slightly overenthusiastic brainstorm the next.
We work in a hybrid way, combining flexibility with the creative energy that comes from getting talented people into a studio together.
We take the work seriously.
Ourselves, slightly less so.
You’ll get the chance to work with great clients, contribute ideas from day one and develop your skills as part of a team that wants to keep learning, experimenting and making work we’re proud of.
If you’re a great writer, full of ideas and permanently curious about what makes people stop scrolling, start reading or actually care about a brand, we’d love to hear from you.
