Join to apply for the DevOps Lead role at The Difference Engine. We have an exciting position open for an experienced DevOps Engineer who will develop best-in-class solutions for DevOps. This greenfield opportunity will see you as the go-to person for all things DevOps.
You will have prior experience of working in rapid scale-up environments with direct access to senior leadership, significant influence on technical strategy, and fostering a culture of best practice and technical innovation within your teams.
As an established Lead DevOps specialist, you will have experience of the following:
- 8-12 years in DevOps/SRE, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship role.
- Proven expertise with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Cloudflare configuration and management.
- Strong track record building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
- Experience designing observability solutions for distributed/cloud-native systems.
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices and a security-first mindset.
- Proven ability to mentor, lead, and grow teams in fast-paced environments.
- Collaborating effectively with a technically astute product team.
- Driving technical excellence across all stages of the product lifecycle.
- Coaching, mentoring, and growing an established mid-level team eager to learn.
- Working in a start-up/scale-up environment where you enjoyed having a broad impact and close proximity to leadership.
- Seeing the value of being on-site 4 days a week in building culture, fostering innovation, and supporting effective communication.
Any experience with Snowflake would be a real bonus for this role.
