The Diamond Learning Partnership Trust is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our Estates, Admissions and Attendance Manager. We are looking for someone to provide administrative support in all three areas, across all schools in the Trust.
You will work 37 hours per week on a full-time basis, 52 working weeks per year and will be based at Burrowmoor Primary Academy, March PE15 9RP. The successful candidate will be based in March, Cambridgeshire, but will be required to visit schools across the Trust as needed, to provide support.
The right candidate will need to be adaptable, enthusiastic, highly motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team. Responsibilities include:
- Provide timely and effective operation of administrative support to the Estates, Admissions and Attendance Manager in accordance with good practice.
- Assist the academy by maintaining good relationships with schools, staff, parents, governors, contractors' representatives and external agencies in order to promote the objectives of the academy.
- Have office experience, ideally in a school environment.
- Understanding of estate compliance and health and safety; experience using compliance software.
- Attendance – preparing term-time leave penalty notices, attendance reports, advising schools; knowledge of DFE's 'working together to improve Attendance'.
- Admissions – ability to write letters to parents, arrange meetings and liaise with local authorities, head teachers, update school organisation charts, record school leavers and joiners, familiar with Schools Admissions code.
- Experience using MIS, Arbor, Cambridgeshire County Council Learn Together platform; proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Teams.
- A good telephone manner.
- Be organised and able to manage a busy, varied environment.
