Do you have an interest in, or passion for working with children and young people with diabetes? Do you have experience in the management of paediatric diabetes and would like to develop your knowledge and up-skill further?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the children’s diabetes team as a paediatric diabetes dietitian.

We are seeking a highly motivated dietitian who would like to develop their career further within the area of childhood and adolescent diabetes. With one of the largest services for children and young people with diabetes in the South East Coast and London network we can offer you a rewarding, flexible and supportive role working alongside experienced and specialist multidisciplinary staff within the children’s diabetes team.

With the majority of clients having Type1 diabetes and over 85% currently using integrated insulin pump and sensor technology vast experience in the use of the latest diabetes related technologies is available.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work collaboratively within the children’s diabetes multidisciplinary team at East Kent Hospitals providing a specialist paediatric diabetes dietetic service to children, young people (CYP) with diabetes including their families and carers.

The post holder will partake in the on-call out of hours telephone service for CYP and their families ensuring they have access to specialist diabetes advice and support (pro-rata).

The post holder will contribute to the continuing development of the service.
