Immediate start for 12 weeks. The applicant will join a team of 10 Consultants in a Department of Diabetes /Endocrinology/ General Medicine in a large University Teaching Hospital to cover short term internal sick leave.
The post will support the Departments Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) commitment at 1.0 PA per week, and join our main Specialty/Gen Medicine on‑call rota for the Department (about 1:7), and have about 20 specialty inpatient beds. There is no resident on call.
The applicant would also support the restoration of clinical specialist diabetes and endocrine outpatient services with the other Consultant teams, and allow us to maintain the inpatient diabetes service.
The post would be suitable for a Consultant with significant GIM experience and a Diabetes & Endocrinology background.
