An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the diabetes team at University Hospitals of Liverpool NHS Foundation Trust based at The New Royal site. The Clinical Nurse Specialists are part of a larger multi-professional team of Diabetes and Endocrine Consultants, Dietitians, Podiatrists, Psychologists and Admin team. This full-time band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist role in Diabetes will include community clinics, inpatient diabetes in-reach, and diabetes outpatient clinics. There will also be an opportunity to support some of the speciality clinics.
Main duties of the job:
- You will provide care and self-management plans to people with diabetes.
- Provide specialist diabetes management advice and support education to other healthcare professional colleagues.
- Support events across the organisation around diabetes awareness and health and well-being.
- Provide clinic cover for hospital and community clinics.
Full support through a diabetes competency programme will be provided.
