In the past 3 years, Chatsworth has undergone a major rebrand and has updated and added to its impressive portfolio of own label products. The farm shop, gift shops and our ecommerce platform have experienced rapid growth on own label ranges and as such, we are looking to grow our product development function in the business with the support of a Product Development Executive.
About the Role
This role will report to the Product Development Manager and will be responsible for supporting the creation and launch of own label products. Providing administrative and day-to-day support, the role will also be heavily involved in the full product process and have the opportunity to develop and land great quality products. This is a role that involves NPD, EPD, market research and wider communication with teams across the group and focuses on the full end-to-end development process, delivering high-quality food and drink products that reflect our brand values. This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with occasional need for flexibility, particularly around busy times. The role will be based from our warehouse facility in Bakewell.
About You
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys working cross-functionally, and has a genuine love of food, drink and innovation. You will have experience in a product-based, NPD or development role and be a confident communicator, able to represent the brand professionally when liaising with suppliers. You must have a strong understanding of product trends and packaging and commercial awareness, including pricing, margin and negotiation. Ideally, you will have already gained knowledge of the food and drink market and have food technical experience or training, food labelling and/or recipe development. You will be a confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel while knowledge of using the Adobe Suite would be beneficial.
In return
You’ll join a supportive and friendly Retail team within a values-led organisation that genuinely cares about its people. We offer a range of benefits including a wellbeing calendar of events, an onsite gym and swimming pool, and a colleague pass providing free access to Chatsworth for you and your guests, plus discounts across Devonshire Group hotels, shops and restaurants. Our core values include “Being Inclusive” and we particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates who are currently under-represented. We also welcome applicants from the LGBTQ+ community. Flexible ways of working will always be considered.
