We’re partnering with a fast-growing, data-driven technology business that is investing heavily in its cloud platform and engineering capability. As part of this growth, they are hiring a Director of DevOps to lead and evolve their global cloud engineering function. This is a strategic leadership role with full ownership of the organisation’s AWS estate, responsible for building a high-impact DevOps capability that enables software teams to deliver quickly, securely and reliably.
You’ll define the cloud strategy, lead a team of Cloud/DevOps engineers, embed modern DevOps and FinOps practices, and ensure the platform scales efficiently as the business grows.
What you’ll be doing:
- Define and execute the cloud infrastructure strategy aligned to business goals
- Lead, mentor and scale a global DevOps/Cloud Engineering team
- Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption (Terraform) and automation standards
- Partner closely with engineering teams to enable efficient CI/CD and self-service environments
- Ensure security, governance and compliance across AWS
- Own cloud cost optimisation and FinOps reporting
- Implement robust monitoring, incident management and disaster recovery practices
- Act as a key bridge between Engineering, Security, Finance and senior stakeholders
