We are recruiting for a Showroom Assistant for a busy carpet and rug showroom in Pimlico. The company supplies a range of contemporary, customisable rugs and carpets to the interior design industry and private clients. This role suits potentially a recent graduate with a relevant degree in fabrics, textiles, interiors or similar. It’s a great opportunity for someone who loves working with colour and texture and who will enjoy consulting clients on their interior design projects. Full training is offered on an ongoing basis.

Daily duties will involve:

  • Greeting interior design clients and private customers in the showroom and discussing their requirements
  • Presenting the showroom collections and advising on colours and styles
  • Placing orders with suppliers and advising clients on expected delivery dates
  • Liaising with delivery staff on installation dates
  • Keeping clients informed of any delays
  • Assisting the showroom manager with merchandising and displays
  • Taking part in showroom interior design events when required

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis – 9.30am - 5.30pm. Currently the role is Monday to Friday only but the company is looking for someone who is prepared to work 1 – 2 Saturdays a month with a day off during the week.
