DTCC's Institutional Trade Processing's ("ITP") mission is to enable end-to-end straight-through processing of the post trade lifecycle by providing buy-side, sell-side and custodian clients with an integrated platform that reduces manual touches, decreases settlement fails and promotes settlement finality across asset classes and markets. The ITP Platform Services Group is an essential function that leads and drives the strategy of key shared assets across the entire ITP Platform.
Platform Services is composed of two functions: Platform Interfaces, which is responsible for current and future interfaces that ITP offers to its customers (API's, FIX, SWIFT, JSON, XML to name a few); and Identify & Access Management, which is key to accurately supervising permissions and access to all ITP applications. Our IAM efforts are usually heavily multi-functional, and all product releases across ITP have a level of involvement with this function.
We are looking for an upbeat and technology-minded Business Analyst to join our ITP Platform Services team to undertake a key role in these functional areas. You must be excited to get hands-on, get things done!
As part of the ITP Platform Services group, you will support the Head of Platform Services to define and complete an interface and IAM strategy for ITP that will deliver on the business vision of an integrated platform across all products and services. This role will require you to partner across enterprise, ITP and our clients to deliver on the next-generation of machine-to-machine interfaces that enable a seamless integration and onboarding of new clients, as well as the upselling of existing clients.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Drive key message format analysis to help ITP strengthen and standardize its FIX messaging capabilities
- Work closely with product management to identify gaps/opportunities
- Identify and design solutions to address those gaps/opportunities
- Express that solution in clear stories that advise the rest of the development team to what they need to build and test and author documentation on functionality being delivered to customers
- Move project forward by stepping into other functional roles (testing, iteration management, etc.), when applicable
- Help build BA standards and best practices
- Provide second level support to external and internal customers and act as an evangelist for their product
Talents Needed For Success
- Agile methodology with minimum of 4 years of related experience
- Experience with various interfaces offered to customers (JSON, XML, SWIFT messages, FIX protocol, etc…)
- Understanding of core technology concepts related to B2B system integration
- Experience with databases, SQL and data modeling and data analysis
- Experience with equity and fixed income post-trade processing gained at a buy or sell side firm, or a vendor
- Software business analyst with experience with identity management, authentication, access control/permission of functionality and data
Pay and Benefits
- Competitive compensation, including base pay and annual incentive
- Comprehensive health and life insurance and well-being benefits
- Pension
- Paid Time Off and Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being
- DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (Onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day of your choosing)
