The Impact You Will Have In This Role

As a member of the Repository & Derivatives Services (RDS) Product Management team, the Product Manager Director plays a critical role in shaping and advancing strategic initiatives that drive innovation, growth, and commercial opportunity across the RDS domain. This role focuses on leveraging deep derivatives expertise, data, and analytics to identify, develop, and validate high-value use cases, enhancing client value and supporting DTCC’s broader strategic objectives. You will work cross-functionally to frame opportunities, solve complex business problems, and guide product direction in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and advance strategic initiatives that shape RDS product direction, use case identification, and commercial opportunity, including leveraging existing data assets and emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with the Data Office, Product, Sales and Technology teams to align analytical capabilities with real-world market use cases and client needs
  • Lead efforts to identify, frame, and validate new product opportunities, including hypothesis development, feasibility assessment, and business case creation
  • Apply deep knowledge of derivatives markets across execution, clearing, and post-trade lifecycles to inform product strategy and prioritization
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across internal teams and external clients, partners, and industry participants to support opportunity discovery and validation
  • Translate market problems and client needs into clear product opportunities, strategic direction, and actionable plans
  • Provide an independent, critical perspective on product opportunities, ensuring commercial viability, client relevance, and alignment to strategic goals
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, working with Technology, Finance, Legal, and other teams to ensure alignment and execution readiness
  • Maintain awareness of market structure, participant behavior, and emerging trends across derivatives markets and financial services
  • Support downstream productization and commercialization efforts, working in alignment with broader DTCC product and service groups
  • Develop and mentor junior product managers through hands-on guidance and structured feedback

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience within financial services, with strong front office, prime brokerage, or risk desk background
  • Demonstrable background working with derivatives products, including OTC derivatives, cleared derivatives, or related post-trade workflows
  • Experience in product management, product strategy, business development, or strategic product initiatives
  • Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to distinguish attractive ideas from genuinely fundable product opportunities
  • Ability to translate market structure, client needs, and derivatives expertise into clear product direction
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, exploratory environments and framing problems from first principles
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including credibility with clients, partners, and senior internal stakeholders
  • Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and provide an independent perspective on product roadmap and commercial strategy
  • Strong analytical mindset, with enough familiarity with data, analytics, and AI concepts to apply them to real-world market problems
  • Demonstrates leadership by shaping direction, influencing outcomes, and developing product thinking across the team
