The Dental Law Partnership are a nationwide dental claim specialists, representing patients in the majority of the dental negligence claims brought in England and Wales today. As a Legal 500 recommended firm, we are market leaders in our field with 25 years experience. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well-established Accounts team as a Legal Cashier. The role will involve joining our established accounts team. Full training will be provided.

As a legal cashier your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Record and keep up to date ledger transactions pertaining to office side.
  • Prepare schedule of BACS payments with relevant authorisations and upload the same to Bankline.
  • Input and payment of disbursements.
  • Reconcile all bank statements relating to office and client accounts weekly and at the end of each month.
  • Reconcile credit card statements at the end of each month.
  • Reconcile and maintain petty cash on monthly basis.
  • Liaise with Accounts Manager in respect of monthly management accounts and end of year accounts.
  • Provide assistance in relation to processing monies received into client account, ensuring the SRA accounts rules are followed.
  • Any other duties as may be directed.

Personal Specification:

  • Previous experience working as a legal cashier or in an accounting environment preferred.
  • Ability to maintain good communications, with an ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work as a team member and work independently.
  • Computer literate and knowledge of software applications and online banking.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills.
  • Organised and methodical.
  • A minimum of level 4/C grade in English and Maths at GCSE.

  • Starting salary of £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
  • 31 days holiday a year including bank holidays and Christmas closure, with the option to buy an additional 5 days holiday per year.
  • Long service award meaning your holiday entitlement including bank holidays and Christmas closure would increase incrementally each year to 36 days after 5 full years service, and to 41 days a year after 10 full years.
