We are looking for a warm, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time Receptionist to join our friendly team in Leighton Buzzard on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern, patient-focused dental practice where you’ll be an essential part of delivering a welcoming and professional experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Role Details:
- Contract: Maternity cover (duration to be confirmed)
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 26.5 hours across 5 days
- Exact hours: To be confirmed at interview stage
- Start date: As soon as possible
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of 1–2 years of previous reception experience, ideally in a dental or medical environment
- Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
- Professional, friendly, and confident approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Calm, organised, and methodical, especially under pressure
- A commitment to providing outstanding service at every patient touchpoint
- Qualified dental nurses are also welcome to apply
Main Responsibilities:
- Welcoming patients and creating a friendly first impression
- Managing appointments – booking, updating, and rescheduling
- Handling patient enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Carrying out opening and closing procedures
- Taking payments and promoting the practice to new patients
- Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with daily operations
