We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and highly organised Full-Time Dental Admin Assistant / Receptionist to join our fantastic practice in Lowestoft. Our reception team plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the practice. We are therefore looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional, first-class customer service and creating a warm, welcoming environment for our patients.

Our new receptionist must be able to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and provide a positive, memorable experience for our patients. Working hours are 5 days per week between Monday and Sunday, which will include a few hours of evening cover on a Saturday or a Sunday - to be discussed at interview.

Previous experience: We are looking for someone who has at least 2 years' experience of working in a reception setting (preferably medical or dental).

Main responsibilities:

  • Meeting and greeting patients, providing a professional and friendly first impression
  • Booking, amending, and managing patient appointments to optimise diaries
  • Answering patient enquiries via telephone, email, and in person
  • Handling payments and supporting basic financial administration
  • Supporting BBYL processes, clinic closures, and appointment cancellations
  • Assisting with diary management, recalls, and filling appointment gaps
  • Undertaking opening and closing procedures
  • Promoting the practice to new and existing patients
  • Making patients aware of dental services and current offers
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
  • Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice
  • Providing reception cover for sickness and holidays when required
  • Undertaking general reception and administrative duties as needed
